ROUTINE DENTAL CLEANING

Brushing and flossing every day at home is only part of a successful oral healthcare routine. The American Dental Association recommends that you visit your dentist at least once a year for a routine examination and cleaning to help you keep your mouth healthy – and to catch any dental issues before they become significant problems. Your dental hygienist uses professional tools to remove plaque, tartar, and bacteria buildup that cannot be efficiently cleaned during your daily routine. This brightens your smile and helps to protect you from tooth decay, tooth loss, and gum disease.

GUM DISEASE THERAPY

Do you have a history of gum disease? We can help! Not only can we effectively treat your gum disease, but Salmon Creek Dental Center also provides routine oral care for those patients with gum disease to prevent the recurrence of infection. Periodontal disease has been linked to heart disease and diabetes. So, it’s important to let us know if you suffer from these health issues. Our office offers thorough and gentle preventative services and oral hygiene guidance for adults, children, and the elderly. We are here to help you, no matter your dental concern.

RESTORATIVE AND COSMETIC DENTISTRY

WHETHER YOU HAVE CHIPPED

A tooth, are suffering from oral pain, or would like to brighten your smile, Salmon Creek Dental Center can provide you with the best dental option. There are many alternatives available for your oral care needs. The first step is coming into our office and discussing your concern with Dr. Amy Jung. During this consultation and examination, the doctor will provide you with options – which will likely include one of the below procedures.

COSMETIC BONDING

A tooth-colored material used to repair decayed, chipped, fractured, or discolored teeth. Unlike veneers, which are manufactured in a laboratory and require a customized mold to achieve a proper fit, bonding can be done in a single visit. Most often, bonding is used for cosmetic purposes to improve the appearance of a discolored or chipped tooth. It also can be used to close spaces between teeth, to make teeth look longer, or to change the shape or color of teeth. Occasionally bonding is also used to protect a portion of the tooth’s root that has been exposed when gums recede.

FILLINGS

The conservative application of either a silver or white-colored material into a tooth after an area of decay (caries) has been removed. Your dental team is available to discuss and answer any questions about your preferred material.

ROOT CANALS

Infected teeth can often result in a lot of pain, inflammation, temperature sensitivity, and sleepless nights. A root canal is needed when the nerve or nerves inside of a tooth have been compromised with untreated tooth decay or injury. Please call our office immediately if you are experiencing tooth pain. For extreme or atypical cases, we work closely with a team of local specialists to ensure you will have the best care possible.

EXTRACTIONS

This is the removal of primary teeth (baby teeth) that a patient is having difficulty in shedding or it can be the removal of permanent teeth that are infected, loose, decayed, or otherwise problematic (such as wisdom teeth).

TOOTH REPLACEMENT OPTIONS

Call or consult with us to find out how we can replace teeth that have been lost or are congenitally missing. We utilize an excellent local dental lab to create fixed bridges, removable partials, and full dentures. If you want to explore the idea of dental implants, we work closely with top-notch oral surgeons and can help you find the right assistance for your need. *Nitrous Oxide Laughing Gas Available on Request for Treatment

DIAGNODENT LASER CAVITY DETECTION

We can’t cure what we can’t see! The DIAGNOdent is a unique instrument that allows us to monitor the areas below the hard surfaces of your tooth enamel. This pen-shaped tool glides over the surfaces of your teeth, allowing Dr. Amy Jung to locate the hidden decay, and with treatment, stop the spread of disease before it destroys the tooth from within. This new technology is completely safe and 100 % pain-free.

Whether you are looking for routine care, cosmetic dentistry, or top-notch preventative dental care, Salmon Creek Dental Center can provide for your needs. Contact us today to find out how we can help you keep your smile bright and healthy.
